How To Behave in a Taxi
Posted - 09/26/2011
When riding in a taxi, the following basic etiquette rules make the trip a pleasant experience for both the passenger and the driver. Know where you are going and tell the taxi driver clearly. If you see the driver take what looks like the wrong route, politely ask why. If the radio is on, it is up to the driver to determine the station. The volume is up to the passenger. Ask for an hourly rate if taking more than an hour of the cabbie’s time. Use cell phones only if necessary, speak softly and tip.
